I live between languages, specifically European Portuguese and English. I learned Portuguese first, however, when I was a teenager, English became my primary language. As I studied and evolved, both languages evolved equally.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from California State University, Hayward (East Bay) and a Certificate from the University of Coimbra to teach Portuguese as a second language.

I began my professional life as a technical writer in English. When I moved to Portugal I had to adapt and so began my journey between languages. I teach English and Portuguese as second languages and I translate between the two.

Like the Azores, where I live, are between continents; so am I.
